10.10.2.3 Improper Use
Improper use includes:
-
introducing large solids deriving from the preparation of food, washing dishes, plastics, paper towels,
paper, cardboard and anything else that could clog the pipes
-
introducing hazardous liquids (harmful, irritating, toxic, explosive, corrosive, flammable) such as paint,
solvents, hydrocarbons or mineral oils
-
introducing considerable quantities of highly oxidising substances (such as fluorides and chlorides),
cleaning products, disinfectants, bactericides, liquids or substances that are harmful to bacterial flora and
fauna
-
introducing highly acid or alkaline cleaning liquids
-
introducing elevated quantities of 90% biodegradable detergents
-
introducing nutrients and/or chemical additives
10.10.2.4 Monthly maintenance
1
Check the level of solids and fats in the tank.
2
Remove any encrustation, floating materials and sediments and/or deposits inside the tank of the Depurbox BASE
(wastewater entrance area,
→
section 10.1.1., part n° 5) of the primary settler of the Depurbox MAXI and DUO (
→
sections
10.1.2. and 10.1.3, part n° 15).
3
Check the fiscal sampling pit
10.10.2.5 Half-yearly maintenance
1
Have the discharged wastewater analysed for pH, SS, animal/vegetable fats and oils.
2
Have any accumulations of separated oils and sediments removed and disposed of by a specialised firm.
10.10.2.6 Annual maintenance
1
Have a specialised firm remove and dispose of excess sludge according to local and/or national regulations, laws and
standards governing waste disposal, by pumping it from the bottom of the container.
10.10.2.7 Extraordinary maintenance
