▪
The installation site (backflow/flow) is indicated on the
meter face. Please refer to the dimensions and check
whether there is sufficient free space.
▪
If the ultego III eco is installed in the joint return flow of
two heating circuits, e.g. heating and hot water, the in-
stallation location must be sufficiently far, i.e. at least 10
DN from the T-piece, so that the different temperatures
can mix properly.
▪
Communication: If the ultego III eco is equipped with one
of the options: "M-Bus", "Minibus" or "Pulse output", it is
supplied with a two-wire connection cable, whose length
can be extended with a cable 2 x 0.75 mm
2
(install junc-
tion box). In the case of the pulse output, note the polar-
ity when connecting (brown +, white -).
▪
Temperature sensor: the cables may not be divided,
shortened or extended.
▪
The sensors must be installed in the same heating cir-
cuit as the flow sensor (observe blending).
▪
The following applies in Germany for MID-conform de-
vices: for new installations in pipelines smaller/equal DN
25, shortsensors may only be installed directly im-
mersed!
▪
The immersion sleeves must reach at least up to the
middle of the pipe diameter. The exact minimum immer-
sion depth ofthe sleeve into the flowing medium de-
pends on the approval of the applied temperature
sensor.
Notices on installation for cold metering
▪
When mounting a cold meter or combined heat/cold me-
ter, make sure the black cover on the measuring tube is
oriented to the side and downward (because of water
condensation). The immersion sleeves should also be
mounted to the side or downwards.
▪
The measuring tube always has to be installed in the
backflow. (Attention! Use flow calculator!)
Installation notices for the calculator
▪
Avoid direct solar radiation.
▪
The device can be installed
vertically or horizontally rel-
ative to the flow sensor. To
do this, pull the ALU off the
flow sensor, turn it and
push it on in the required position.
▪
The computer must be to fixed to the wall at heating wa-
ter temperatures below 10 °C or above 90 °C. At the
same time it is necessary to ensure that condensed wa-
ter cannot run along the connected pipes and into the
calculator.
▪
A meter with a removable control cable may be separat-
ed during the installation. When installation is done be
sure that only paired parts (volume part, calculator) are
connected together and in correct order. (red / blue /
white).
▪
The control cable must not be extended!
Handling
The heat meter indications are arranged in several loops
and, depending on the configuration of the ultego III eco,
may differ from the standard described here. Each time the
button is pressed briefly, the indication within the loop in
which you are is cyclically advanced.
▼
the type of indica-
tion involved is shown in the display. With a long press of
the button you switch between the loops or set values in In-
put mode. The indication data of the ultego III eco is divided
into the following three loops:
User loop
Service loop
