Positioning and PIR detection test
Install the camera on a sturdy support, eg a trunk with a diameter of about 15
cm. To obtain the optimal image quality, the installation point should be at a
distance of about 5 meters from the place to be monitored, positioned at a
height of 1.5 ~ 2 m.
At night, better results are obtained when the subject passes through the area
illuminated by the IR LEDs, at a distance between 3m and 19m from the camera.
The camera can be installed using the supplied strap, or by using a support to be
screwed into the threaded bush at the bottom (Bracket supplied).
Installation via belt: Insert the belt supplied in the slots on the back of the
camera.
Wrap the belt around the support / tree trunk and, firmly pulling the end of the
strap, firmly secure the camera, avoiding the possibility of falls.
The height from the ground varies according to the size of the animals and can
vary from 1.5 to 3m.
* Avoid pointing the camera towards oscillating objects, sources of heat and
direct sunlight.
The test results will help you find the best place to place the product.
Position the ignition switch in TEST mode and close the camera with the side
clips. The Red LED will flash when the PIR sensor has detected a presence.
Repeat the test modifying the positioning of the camera from time to time, in
order to obtain the best coverage condition of the desired area.
Pass the camera in front of the Red indicator LED.
* Do not aim at water surfaces and reflective surfaces.
These situations are the cause of potential false alarms.
