Step 1: ASSEMBLING THE MISTING KIT:
NOTE:
This misting kit was specifically designed to attach to the 9-ft Island Umbrella.
•
Set aside the 15-ft coil of tubing. Do not cut this tube. It will become the lead line for the kit.
•
Identify the 8 sections of pre-cut 3.3-ft misting lines.
•
Connect the tee-fittings to the misting line sections as shown below.
•
Leave one end of the first line section open for the elbow fitting.
•
Leave one end of the last line section open for the end fitting.
•
Connect the line to the tee-fitting keeping it level and straight.
3.3 Feet
•
Push the line while twisting the fitting. The line should enter the fitting at least 0.4-in (10-mm).
•
Once you have connected all the cut pieces of misting lines to the tees,
connect the elbow fitting and the end
fitting to the ends of the line.
•
Connect the 15-ft coil of lead line tube to the elbow fitting. Connect the swivel nut to the open end of this
tube. This is now your lead line supply tube that will be connected to your garden hose or faucet.
•
Do not install the nozzles until you have completed
Step 2
.
Step 2: FLUSHING THE SYSTEM:
•
Connect the swivel nut to your garden hose or faucet.
DO NOT PUT THE NOZZLES ON YET.
•
Turn the water on for approximately 20 seconds to flush any debris from the tubing.
NOTE:
Water will come out from the 1st fitting with the most force. The pressure will decrease and will
come out at the 3rd or 4th fitting, only. This is normal.
•
Turn the water off and attach the first 3 nozzles closest to the lead line. Turn the water on again for 20
seconds.
•
Repeat the previous step until the entire system has been flushed and all the nozzles have been installed.
Step 3: INSTALLING THE ASSEMBLED MISTING KIT AFTER FLUSHING THE SYSTEM:
ATTENTION: There are 2 options for installing the misting kit on the umbrella:
Option A: Attach the misting kit using the included umbrella clips (page 3).
Option B: Attach the misting kit using the elastic loops sewn on the umbrella cover (page 4).
