start the engine, gradually move it to the OPEN position as the
engine warms up.
7. Once the machine has warmed up and fully operational, Move
the Throttle lever to MAX. position and start inserting the
branches gradually increasing the loading. (Only insert one
branch at a time)
8. Control the rate of feeding material into the inlet chute so that
the motor is not overloaded.
9. Cut branches into single pieces before inserting into the inlet
chute. (Do not insert connecting branches before cutting them
into individual pieces)
STOPPING THE MACHINE
To stop the engine in an emergency, simply turn the engine switch
to the OFF position. Under normal conditions, use the following
procedure.
Keep the engine running until the inlet chute is completely empty
of debris (this may take 1-2 minutes for the small pieces to exit the
chipper shredder)
1. Move the throttle lever to the MIN. position.
2. Turn the engine switch to the OFF position.
3. Turn the fuel valve lever to the OFF position.
4. Wait for the engine and drum to completely stop and then
remove the spark plug from the engine.
5. Remove any uncut material from the blade housing and Inlet
chute, Follow maintenance procedures mentioned in the
manual.
Maintenance
Warning
Do not open the blade housing unless the engine and
drum have completely stopped.
When this equipment is stopped for servicing, inspection, or
storage, make sure the spark plug wire is disconnected from
the spark plug. Allow the machine to cool before making any
inspections, adjustments, etc. Maintain the machine with care and
keep it clean by blowing, brushing or wiping it down.
• Every 5-10 hours of operation check the oil level and top up if
necessary. Change the oil in accordance with the instructions
in the engine booklet.
• Regularly check the condition of the engine air cleaner,
especially in dusty environments.
• Remove any debris inside the Inlet chute each time after the
engine is turned off.
• If there is many uncut materials it shows that blades may be
needed to sharpen or intervals may need to be adjusted. Take
the machine to an authorised dealer to sharpen/install new
blades.
• Apply Grease on main shaft bearings after every 50 hours of
use. Failure to grease the bearings may cause damage to the
machine
• Check all the parts regularly with 1-2 times monthly including
bearing, blades, belt etc. Make sure them are flexible and
sharp.
• Replace the blades as soon as the chipping performance
begins to deteriorate. The blades are needed to check
regularly. The blunt blades will lower working efficiency and
cause the damage of machine.
• Consult an authorised dealer to change the blades.
• Perform engine maintenance base on the engine booklet
provided.
• The drive belt may stretch after a short period of use, but
should then stabilize for a considerable time if not overloaded
or constantly slipped.
