IRIDIUM SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSSES, DAMAGES, LIABILITIES, JUDGMENTS, AND FINES,
AMOUNTS PAID IN SETTLEMENT, EXPENSES OR COSTS OF DEFENSE SUSTAINED IN RELATION TO ANY SUCH
THIRD PARTY INFORMATION.
13. Privacy and Data Security
Privacy and data security are important to everyone. Some features of your use of Iridium AxcessPoint
Connect may affect your privacy or data security. Therefore, it is important to monitor access to your Product
and not to leave it where others might have unmonitored access. Lock your satellite phone’s keypad when not
in use. Erase all personal information or data before disposing of the satellite phone or recycling it. The
satellite phone uses network-­‐based positioning technology, which may be used to obtain a user’s approximate
location and thereby affect a user’s privacy.
By your use of the Iridium AxcessPoint Connect and Iridium Satellite Services you consent to Iridium’s
disclosure of user information, including but not limited to name, address, telephone number and location
information, including, where available, the geographic coordinates of equipment, to governmental and quasi-­‐
governmental agencies where Iridium deems it necessary in its sole discretion to respond to an exigent
circumstance. These governmental and quasi-­‐governmental agencies shall be deemed “users” for all purposes.
You are permitted to use the Iridium AxcessPoint Connect only as described and specified in this User Manual
including without limitation the Legal Notices and Licensing Agreements (“Conditions of Use”). By using
Iridium AxcessPoint Connect, you are indicating that you agree to comply with those Conditions of Use. If you
fail to comply with the Conditions of Use, Iridium reserves the right to terminate your right to use Iridium
AxcessPoint Connect on the Iridium system. If you do not accept the terms Conditions of Use, do not use
Iridium AxcessPoint Connect.
14. Cross Border Transfer of Private Information
YOUR PERSONAL REGISTRATION INFORMATION, INCLUDING NAME, USER NAME, PASSWORD, ALTERNATE
USER NAME, CONTACT EMAIL AND MSISDN WILL BE USED TO ENABLE YOU TO USE THE WEBMAIL SERVICES
AVAILABLE ON MYIRIDIUM.NET AND TO ENABLE ACCESS TO OTHER WEBMAIL SERVICES SUCH AS GMAIL,
YAHOO, AOL AND MSN. ACCESSING THESE WEBMAIL SERVICES THROUGH IRIDIUM AXCESSPOINT CONNECT
MAY ENABLE SUCH WEBMAIL SERVICES TO RECEIVE AND/OR RECORD INFORMATION FROM YOUR COMPUTER,
BLACKBERRY, PDA OR OTHER MOBILE DEVICE, INCLUDING EMAIL FILES, COOKIES AND IP ADDRESSES. IRIDIUM
USES SUCH INFORMATION TO MAINTAIN YOUR MYIRIDIUM.NET WEBMAIL ACCOUNT AND ENSURE ADEQUACY
OF THE SERVICE AND WILL MAINTAIN COPIES OF SUCH INFORMATION ON ITS SERVERS. PLEASE REVIEW OUR
PRIVACY POLICY ON IRIDIUM.COM.
