Iridium Axcesspoint and Iridium Axcesspoint Mail & Web User Manual
1. Introduction
With the Iridium AxcessPoint and the Iridium 9555 or Iridium Extreme, you can now access the Iridium satellite
data network through your smartphone, tablet or laptop with Wi ‐ Fi access. Iridium AxcessPoint when
combined with Iridium AxcessPoint Mail & Web offers faster use of email messaging and web browsing. In
order to properly set ‐ up and use these products:

Review the Getting Started Guide included with your Iridium AxcessPoint device

Register for Iridium AxcessPoint Mail & Web on Iridium.com

Set ‐ up your smartphone, tablet, or laptop based on the instructions provided in this guide

Follow the instructions for set ‐ up and use of Iridium AxcessPoint Mail & Web in this guide
As mentioned in your Getting Started Guide, this device and software will establish a narrowband Internet
connection primarily suited for email messaging and browsing mobile websites. Do not use high bandwidth
applications made for terrestrial networks such as video or music. Usage charges are billed per minute during
the connection to the Iridium network.
2. Registration
All users with an Iridium AxcessPoint must register for Iridium AxcessPoint Mail & Web unless an
alternative solution is provided by your service provider. If you have not registered yet, please go to
www.iridium.com/AxcessPoint to complete the registration form. You will need to complete the following
information for registration:

Full name: First name, Last Name

Username

Username Alternate

Password

Email

MSISDN (Iridium Phone Number)

MAC Address (Located on back of Iridium AxcessPoint device)
You will need to agree to the terms and conditions listed below before you can download the software. A full
version of the terms and conditions can be found in Section 21.
Once you have successfully registered, your username and password will be sent to your email address listed
on the registration form.
