Connections

Notes:
1.
Must use NEC Class 2 or Limited Power Source (LPS) and SELV
rated power supply.
If using DC power supply:
Respect polarity applied of terminals (+) and (-). Be sure the voltage applied is within the range admitted (9 to 30 Vdc).
The power supply can be connected to earth but only through the negative terminal, never through the positive terminal.
If using AC power supply:
Make sure the voltage applied is of the value admitted (24 Vac). Do not connect any of the terminals of the AC power
supply to earth, and make sure the same power supply is not supplying any other device.

BACnet/IP and ASCII TCP connection: If BACnet/IP and ASCII TCP communications are used simultaneously, use a straigh ethernet
CAT5 cable connected to a hub or switch of the LAN of the building. If communicating through the LAN of the building contact the
network administrator and make sure UDP traffic and the port used (47808 by default) are allowed through all the LAN path.
If only BACnet/IP communication is used and the BACnet device is close to the IntesisBox, you can use a crossover ethernet CAT5
cable to connect directly the BACnet/IP controller to the connector ETH of IntesisBox.

ASCII EIA232 connection: Connect the cable coming from the programmable controller to the connector ASCII EIA232 of IntesisBox,
this is a standard EIA232 Db9 male connector (DTE) in which only lines TX, RX and GND are used, see user's manual for details.
Respect the maximum distance of 15 meters for this cable.

Use the software LinkBoxBacnet to configure IntesisBox. Consult the user's manual for details.
