869 RFID Reader Service Instruction Manual
Introduction
Disassembly
You must follow standard ESD guidelines to avoid damaging the equipment
you are servicing.
PROCEDURE
1
Using a socket wrench or similar tool, remove the 5/16" hex posts from
the serial connector located on the overlay side of the RFID enclosure.

Using a Philips screwdriver, remove the four philips head screws from
the end plate (overlay side).

Remove the overlay endplate, noting location of the power connector
near the end of the circuit card. Press on the locking tab to release the
power connector. Remove the power connector from the circuit card.

Remove the overlay end plate from the RFID enclosure.
Removing the Barrel Connector Power Jack

Using a 1/4" socket wrench or similar tool, remove the barrel connector
nut and locking washer from the overlay end plate.

Remove the barrel connector jack from the overlay end plate, noting the
heat shrink wrapped connections are oriented downwards from the text
on overlay end plate.
Removing the Power Switch

Grasp and pull the two quick connect terminals from the power switch,
noting that the quick connect which routes to the barrel connector powĆ
er jack is attached to the bottom quick connect lug on the power switch.
