Bus data cables with slave terminals
You can connect up to 8 slave terminals to each bus interface. A maximum of 16 slave terminals
can be connected to the controller.

Always connect a slave terminal with address 1 to bus 1.

Evenly distribute the slave terminals among the three bus interfaces. The factory setting for
the interfaces is as follows:
– Bus 1: 6 slave terminals max.
– Bus 2: 4 slave terminals max.
– Bus 3: 6 slave terminals max.
Make sure that each slave terminal has a unique hardware address within the bus.
Data cables with slave terminals can be connected in two ways.

For trouble-free operation, please observe the following:

Ground the line shields of the data cables via the female RJ45 connector.

Only use shielded cables and shielded connection components, such as male Hirose connectors.

Use shield terminals for grounding the cable shields.

Secure the cable with a strain relief.
