Use acid-free lubricants, e.g. WD40, to prevent damage to the grommets.
If more than one cable has to be passed through one grommet, several holes have to be made in
the grommet. A maximum of 3 cables can be fed through one grommet.
Procedure
1. Break out the knockouts

using a suitable tool, e.g. a screwdriver.
2. Cover edges with the enclosed grommets

3. Pierce a small hole in the grommet and feed the cable into the device
4. Secure all inserted cables using the shield connection terminals

5. Ground the cable shield with the shield connection terminals
6. Use cable ties

to bundle the cables outside of the housing
4.2 Wiring components
Ethernet network
The device is set up for connection to 10/100 Mb/s Ethernet networks. Connection and speed are
indicated by LEDs on the front panel
.
When assigning the IP address and setting up the network, observe the current state-of-the-art
technology for securing and segmenting corporate networks. Interflex recommends operating all
installed devices and servers in
one
VLAN.
