1. Introduction

We are very pleased that you have chosen the high quality AKTIVLINE Standard
Dynamic Seating System from interco.
AKTIVLINE Standard is a completely new care concept for cerebral and move-
ment impaired individuals. The dynamic attachment of the seating system to
the undercarriage construction allows for the upward movement of the seating
unit. This movement potential is important, for example with the typical muscle
tension and extension associated with spasticity, because it allows the seat-
ing unit to compensate by opening upward with the movement. This innovative
system reduces the stress and strain associated with uncontrolled movement.
Additional positive effects on the patient can be observed in patients using this
new dynamic care system. AKTIVLINE Standard is exceptionally more robust
than the normal rigid variety system. Due to the built in system dynamic, the
chair materials have a longer durability.
The following user manual is filled with tips and insights to help make your

2. Basic Features
You will receive your AKTIVLINE Standard fully assembled (usually from your
authorized dealer). In order to ensure that AKTIVLINE Standard is a reliable
partner for you, please pay careful attention to the following points.

Adapter System
The seat shell system is mounted to the undercarriage with an adapter system.
(The seat shell undercarriage for AKTIVLINE Standard is similar to that of the
interco SIMPLY or SIMPLY LIGHT.) This is comprised of a trapezoidal adapter
(Photo

) mounted to the underside of the shell, and the trapezoidal adapter re-
ceptacle (Photo

) which is integrally connected to the undercarriage. The adapter
is adjusted with two locking pins (Photo

) which attach to the adapter receptacle
from below and lock the adapter system securely in place. Make certain that both
locking pins and the adapter system are secured tightly.
