Connecting the Interface Cable
Properly shielded serial interface cable must be used to connect your computer to the printer. Observe the following precautions
when connecting the printer to the host computer.
Power to the host must be off.
The printer power switch must be turned off.
Attach the appropriate interface cable.
Make sure all connectors are inserted correctly.

Serial Interface Cable: OM7212-S

Make sure that both the printer and computer are turned off.

Serial printers come with an RJ-12 connector. Plug the RJ-12 end of the cable into the printer receptacle, as shown
above.

Connect the other end, DB9-F connector, to your computer.
