Modem/BUC
Setting
Sets the modem and BUC interface.

Modem
Sets the interface between the ACU and the satellite modem.
• Select Modem: selects your modem type from the "Select Modem" drop-down
list for loading a pre-configuration for the type of modem used. The settings
related to the modem interface will be set automatically once the modem type
is selected. When you select "USER SETTING" the other settings pcan be
changed independently.
• Modem Port: selects a proper data communication port for the ACU to interface
with the satellite modem.
• Modem Protocol: selects a proper communication protocol for the ACU to
interface with the modem.
• GPS Out Sentence: selects the GPS out sentence type.
• Use Tx Mute: selects whether or not to use the "Tx Mute" function from the
modem.
• Use Modem Lock: selects whether or not to use "Modem Lock" function from
the modem.
• Tx Mute:
this function can be edited when "User Setting" option is selected in the
"Select Modem" menu.
It selects the TX Mute option. The TX Mute is a transmit
inhibit output from the ACU to disable/mute the modem transmit through a 5
V (HIGH) or 0 V (LOW) current whenever the antenna is blocked, searching, or
pointed 0.5 degrees off from peak satellite position.
• Modem Lock:
this function can be edited when "User Setting" option is selected in
the "Select Modem" menu.
It selects the Modem Lock option. The Modem Lock
provides a logic input through a 5V (HIGH) or 0 V (LOW) current to the ACU to
identify when the system is on the correct satellite.
Click the "Apply" button to apply the settings to the system.

Modem Port
Configuration
This function is available after performing the "iARM Save & Reboot" on page
78.
Sets the ACU's internal IP address, routing, and ports.
• IP Address: sets the network IP address.
CAUTION
: when using Dual Antenna System, the "IP Address" of the "Modem
Port Configuration" for the Primary ACU and the Secondary ACU must be specified
differently. If you specified the same IP address, the system will not connect to a
modem and can not use a dual antenna system function.
• Subnet Mask: sets the subnet mask.
• Gateway: sets the gateway.
• DNS: sets the current default DNS address.
• NAT Routing: sets the NAT routing (Enable / Disable).
• TCP Modem Protocol Port: sets the TCP port number for modem protocols
using TCP as transport.
• UDP Modem Protocol Port: sets the UDP port number for modem protocols
using UDP as transport.
Click the "Apply" button to apply the settings to the system.
