15 mm Drive Installation

Ensure the drive extraction lever is in the open position and the drive mounting rail is pulled out half way.

Align the drive or drive assembly with the open drive bay.

Insert the drive or drive assembly into the drive bay (see Letter A).

Note:

Intel recommends holding the drive with one hand while holding the lever with the other hand.

Slide the drive forward until it is fully connected to the backplane (see Letter B).

Complete the drive installation by closing the drive extraction lever until it locks into place (see Letter C).

Drive / Drive Blank Removal

The 2.5” drive

mounting rails in the system are not removable. They slide out so that the storage drives can

be installed or removed. When sliding out a drive mounting rail from the system, only pull it as much as it
allows without forcing it.
