Firmware Hub (FWH)
A socketed FLASH device is used to store system BIOS as well as an Inte

Number Generator (RNG). A bootblock locking jumper is provided to allow a mechanical
means of protecting the bootblock BIOS firmware. All BIOS programming is controlled
via software.

Boot ROM
The system boot ROM is installed on a FWH device. The FWH is addressable on the LPC
bus off the Intel
®
6300ESB ICH.

In-Target Probe (ITP)
The evaluation board contains an in-target probe (ITP) connector for an ITP-XDP
connector. Other ITPs will not work and if installed, could damage the platform and/or
the ITP.
