67. Minus “year” number to go past “2000” at BIOS “system date” set up
interface will cause the server system to hang
Problem Minus “year” number to go past “2000” at BIOS “system date” set up interface
will cause the server system to hang. No keyboard, or mouse input is effective.
Cold reboot by pushing the power button can bring the server back to work.
Implication All server system SR2500AL, SR1500AL, SR1550AL families and server base
board S5000PAL, BB5000XAL families have this problem.
Status Not fixed.
Workaround None.
68. Please do not downgrade BIOS from factory shipped BIOS 101 to any
previous version
Problem To support new on-board video OPROM chip, factory ships BIOS 101 for all
post change base boards and server systems. All previous BIOS cannot work
with post change boards and server systems. BIOS 101 can support all post
change and pre change boards and server systems.
