3
Close the lid and latch the handle lock. The green ready
light turns off.
The sandwich cooks for approximately three to five
minutes. When your sandwich is done cooking, the
green ready light turns on again.
4
Use the handle to open the lid and check the contents. If
you want the contents cooked longer, close the lid and
continue cooking. Your sandwich maker begins a
second cooking cycle. When the cycle is complete, the
green ready light turns on.
5
When the contents are cooked, use a plastic spatula to
remove the contents. Never use metal tongs or a knife
because these can damage the non-stick coating on the
cooking plates.
6
Disconnect the power cord from the power outlet and
leave your sandwich maker open to cool.
USAGE TIPS:
• Use breads that are ½” – 1” thick. Standard sandwich
bread work well but thicker breads, such as rolls, pita
loaves and English muffins are good too. Try different
flavors to create a sandwich you love.
• Choose meats such as water-packed tuna or diced
cooked chicken, or thinly-sliced ham, roast pork,
pepperoni, or corned beef.
• For more variety, experiment with fillings such as
thinly-sliced cheeses, finely-chopped onion, tomatoes,
and sauerkraut.
• Choose from condiments like salt, pepper, mayonnaise,
pickle relish, mustard, and fresh herbs for extra flavor.
TO STORE YOUR SANDWICH MAKER
1
Unplug your sandwich maker.
2
Make sure that your sandwich maker is cool.
3
Clean and dry the cooking plates and exterior, if
necessary.
4
Close the lid and lock it into place.
5
Wrap the power cord around the cord wrap bracket on
the base of your sandwich maker.
6
Use the handle to move the sandwich maker.
Note:
The sandwich maker can be stored upright.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
• Do not disassemble your sandwich maker for cleaning.
• Never immerse your sandwich maker in water or place it
in a dishwasher.
• Do not use anything abrasive (such as metal scouring
pads or steel wool) that can scratch or damage the
non-stick coating or exterior finish.
• Do not use metal utensils to remove food residue
because they can damage the non-stick surface.
To clean your sandwich maker:
1
Unplug your sandwich maker and let it to cool before
cleaning. The cooking plates are easier to clean when
they are slightly warm.
2
Wipe cooking plates with a soft, damp cloth or sponge to
remove food residue. For baked on food residue,
squeeze some warm water mixed with detergent over
the food residue or place a wet paper towel over the
residue to soften it. Remove the residue with a
non-abrasive, plastic scouring pad, then wipe the
cooking plates with a soft damp cloth or sponge.
3
Remove and empty the drip tray, then wash the tray in
warm, soapy water. Rinse and thoroughly dry the tray,
then put it back in your sandwich maker.
4
If necessary, wipe the outside of your sandwich maker
with a damp cloth.
