INTRODUCTION
AARON 650 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Inovonics’ AARON 650 is a professional-grade receiver for the
commercial FM broadcast band, with features and performance
that place it above even the most elite industrial or consumer
receivers currently available.
Although the AARON’s primary application is in re-broadcast
(FM ‘translator’) service, this receiver finds use in any demand-
ing reception situation.
Features
Leading features of the Inovonics AARON 650:
All-digital “SDR” (Software-Defined Radio) design.
Composite/MPX Pass-Through mode with negligible la-
tency (delay), or Stereo-Regen mode with complete signal
regeneration with original or modified RDS messaging.
Composite signal processing available in either mode.
Advanced and effective Reception Tools that mitigate
poor reception situations and respond to changing RF
signal conditions.
Automatic failover program backup using a plug-in SD
card or an IP network audio feed.
Intuitive, menu-driven front-panel setup, plus a built-in
Web server for full remote operation over any IP network.
Supports SNMP remote monitoring.
Built-in FM BandScanner™ gives a plot of the entire FM
band or the spectrum around a specific frequency of in-
terest.
Local and remote graphic readout of the MPX spectrum,
stereo image and program density (loudness) over time.
Local, remote and self-logging alarms for audio loss, RF
loss, and RDS loss (or ‘hijacking’). Alarms include e-mail
or text-message notification.
Dual, selectable antenna inputs and dual, independent
composite/MPX outputs. Balanced L/R analog and AES
digital audio outputs; built-in test tone generator.
