INSTALLATION PROCEDURES
NOTE: Ensure installation of the
innowave
uv3
®
complies with all applicable state and local
regulations. The following installation procedures assume that you have performed the Pre-
Installation procedures and sanitization of the unit starting on Page 7 of this manual.
1.
Place the
innowave
uvf3
®
on a firm, flat surface. Ensure that the water and electrical supplies
are located within 5 feet of the unit (do not use an extension cord with the
innowave
uvf3
®
).
Level the unit using the adjustable feet on the bottom of the
innowave
uvf3
®
.
2.
Attach the water supply tube to the 1/4” feed water inlet on the back of the unit. innowave
®
strongly recommends that a water pressure regulator, pre-set between 40-60 psi, be installed prior
to the inlet or bulkhead fitting into the unit.
3.
Turn on the water supply and rinse the filters of any fines that may have dislodged during
transportation. Approximately 1-2 gallons is required for this procedure.
4.
Check to ensure that both the red power switch and the green compressor switch are in the off
position.
5.
Connect the power cord to the back of the
innowave
uvf3
®
and to a 120volt electrical outlet.
6.
Turn the red power switch to the on position (I = On). Ensure that only the red power switch is
turned on and not the green compressor switch.
If the green compressor switch is turned on
while the hot (if present) tank is empty, damage could occur to the tank in less than 1
minute.
7.
Move the
innowave
uvf3
®
into its final operating position. Be sure that a minimum of 2”
clearance is maintained from both the sides and the back of the unit. This ensures that proper
airflow is maintained.
8.
Open the water supply and check for leaks.
9.
Holding a pitcher under the dispensing faucet, press and hold the main dispensing button until a
continuous flow of water is obtained. Once a continuous flow is obtained, release the dispensing
button.
10.

main dispensing button until a continuous flow of water is obtained. Once a continuous flow is
obtained, release the main dispensing button.
11.
Press the cold button and dispense cold water into the drip tray. Ensure that the drip tray alarm
will sound and the unit will shut down once the drip tray is full. Also check that the drip tray full
annunciation is present on the display.
