INSTALLING EXTERNAL BATTERIES
5.1.1
ELECTRIC BATTERIES
The unit may be equipped with an electric battery which can be installed in the following ways.
The battery is not managed directly by the unit in the E and S versions but is equipped with an
internal thermostat which can also be connected to an external thermostat. For the details of the
electrical connections, follow the instructions in the manual of the battery itself
Version I controls the electric coil directly through the Chiller contact on the board;
Deactivate or raise the set in summer to prevent the battery from intervening in summer mode;
Coil with pre-heating function
The coil has the function of defrosting and anti-freeze protection of the unit.
Installation:
•
mount the heater on the "fresh air" duct;
•
connect the heater to the mains;
•
set the temperature on the internal thermostat to 2 ° C;
In any case, the battery must be installed with the cover upwards to avoid malfunctioning of the
safety devices.
Battery with post-heating function
In winter, the battery has the function of heating the air entering the house to bring it to the
required comfort temperature.
Installation:
•
mount the heater on the "inlet" duct;
•
connect the heater to the mains;
•
set the temperature on the internal thermostat a to the desired temperature (e.g. 18 ° C);
In any case, the battery must be installed with the cover upwards to avoid malfunctioning of the
safety devices.
