The Smart Socket can be used with any household appliance that is powered via a normal
power socket. Potential uses are for instance washing machines and dishwashers, microwaves,
toasters, stereos, TV’s and lighting appliances.
Gas/carbon monoxide/smoke alarm signal will trigger the Smart Socket to turn the appliance
off. The Smart Socket also works as a safety timer for over 500W appliances (eg. washing ma-
chines, irons).
NOTE. Alarms need to be installed in the same room and within 5 metres distance of the Smart
Socket. The Smart Socket is compatible with all gas, carbon monoxide and smoke alarms.
A detected alarm also activates the Smart Socket’s own alarm signal and signalling light.
The alarm is reset (and the appliance connected to the Smart Socket turned back
on) by pressing the Smart Socket push-button (1) once.
The Smart Socket push-button (1) can be used to turn the appliance on/off.
