Function
The motion detector (exterior) detects
people’s movements by measuring differ-
ences in temperature compared with the
surroundings. An evaluation circuit con-
verts the status detected (motion) into
remote commands. The motion detector
(exterior) can be used to control SmartH-
ome devices.
Hazard warning
• Do not open the motion detector (exte-
rior). It does not contain any parts to be
serviced by the user. If a fault occurs,
please contact our service.
• Only operate the in a weatherproof loca-
tion. Do not expose the motion detector
(exterior) to direct contact with rain or
water. Avoid direct sunlight and other
heat radiation.
Commissioning

Unlock the wall bracket by simultane-
ously pressing the two locking latches in
the direction of the arrow.

Insert the batteries (type AA) ensuring
the correct polarity.

Position the wall bracket at a point on a
wall which ensures good coverage of the
desired detection range.

Mark the corresponding holes for drilling
through the screw holes on the wall
bracket.

Drill each hole with a diameter of 5 mm
and a depth of 35 mm and insert the
dowels.

Position the wall bracket in front of the
drilled holes. Secure the wall bracket
with the screws.

Insert the base unit by sliding it from
below onto the wall bracket.

Integrate the device via the user soft-
ware in the SmartHome system.
