SAN storage system
Redundant controllers with eight host ports

iSCSI initiators, preferably PCIe TCP/IP offload engine (TOE)-capable

Ports divided into 2 virtual LANs. Both controllers are linked to both
virtual LAN zones.
Software
MPIO to manage the fault-tolerant paths with failover/failback and load
balance capabilities. Use MPIO multipathing software for the operating
system to identify the alternative paths to the same logical drive.
RAID configuration
•
Two logical drives; each has eight member drives. You can create
more logical drives from the drives in the expansion systems.
•
LD0 mapped to CH0 AID, CH1 BID, CH2 AID, and CH3 BID.
LD must be assigned to controllers A and B to enable remote
replication.
•
LD1 mapped to CH1 BID, CH0 AID, CH3 BID, and CH2 AID.
LD must be assigned to controllers A and B to enable remote
replication.
