Information about operation following extension:
!
If there is a ring at one of two door intercoms, you can see at the
top left of the camera image where the ring has come from: door
intercom "1#" or "2#".
!
When there is a ring at one of the door intercoms, all of the paired
mobile units that are switched on respond as described in section
11.1 of the set manual.
!
If there is a ring at a door intercom and the conversation is
accepted on one of two paired mobile units, the camera image
switches off on the other mobile unit, the start screen appears on it
and the screen switches off after approx. 20 seconds.
9. Fitting, connecting and starting up
!
Remove the door intercom [20] from the safety cover [32].
!
Hold the mounting bracket in the desired location, mark the
position of the two fitting holes to be drilled [36] and of a hole for
the cable if necessary [35].
!
Drill the two fitting holes and insert two plugs [39] if required.
!
If necessary, drill a suitable hole through which to feed the cable
for the power supply to the door intercom and any other connection
cables for the optional door release and/or external signal
generator (e.g. an external bell) and/or optional button for
opening the door.
!
Note: A flush-mounted socket in the wall directly behind the cable
opening may be helpful to make cable connection easier.
!
Feed all the connection cables required through the drilled hole
and through the cable opening in the protective cover.
!
Fix the mounting bracket to the wall using two screws [38].
!
If batteries are to be used:
!
Release the battery compartment cover [30] screw and lever
the cover from the outdoor station.
!
Insert 2 pcs. LR14 (C), 1,5 V alkaline batteries (not supplied)
into the battery compartment, paying attention to the polarity.
Do not use rechargeable batteries.
!
Refix the cover onto the outdoor station with the screw.
!
Set the energy consumption mode if necessary, as described in
the note in section 11.2 of the set manual.
!
Note: If the door intercom is used with batteries, the camera
image cannot be manually switched on, because the door
intercom is factory set to energy saving mode, it cannot receive
signals from the mobile unit. To enable manual switching on
the camera image, the door intercom must be switched to
energy consumption mode (see chapter 11.2).
!
Carefully lever the plastic cover off the name plate [19], remove
the name plate, label it, re-insert the name plate and replace the
plastic cover over it.
!
If connecting a power supply unit and/or other devices, follow
connection diagram B:
Notes:
#
Only one wire should be inserted into each terminal
connection. A maximum of 2 J-Y(St)Y wires with a diameter of
0.6 twisted together may, however, be inserted into one
terminal. With three wire ends, a terminal strip or connector
must be used to join the wires before the terminal connection.
#
The exposed wire end (10-12 mm) must be inserted fully into
the terminal connection.
!
To connect a 9-12 V DC power supply unit, attach the two
wires of the supply unit to the GND and DC9-12V power
connection terminals [26]. Note:
The door intercom
must not be operated with batteries AND the
power supply unit at the same time!
!
If you are using an optional door release with its own power
supply, connect it with two wires to terminals [26] NO/COM
(max. 1 A at up to 15 V AC/DC). Please also follow the
information provided in the door release operating
instructions.
!
If you are using an optional external signal generator with its
own power supply, connect it with the two wires for the signal
generator connection [31] (normally open contact, max. 1 A
at up to 15 V AC/DC, DVT/2 SET: only reacts to pressing the
upper doorbell button).
!
If you are using an optional button to open the door, connect it
with two wires to the terminals [26] "Button for DR" and GND.
!
If you are not using the connection cables [31] for the external
signal generator, cut them off immediately next to the connection
terminals.
!
Screw the connection cover [40] in place on the door intercom
with the four screws supplied [37]so that any cables come out at
the bottom of the intercom over the angled surface.
!
Push the outdoor station into the mounting bracket [32] and
tighten these using the torx screwdriver [42] and the torx screw
[41].
Note that if batteries are to be used, any cables should have
enough slack that the outdoor station can be removed in order to
change the batteries.
!
If operating with the power supply unit, connect it to 230 V AC.
!
When a connection is made to the power supply, the light on the
ring button [24] turns green.
!
Remove the protective foil from the camera lens [23].
!
10. Maintenance and cleaning
#
The products are maintenance-free: Never open this, except when
changing batteries.
#
Check the safety and function regularly
#
Remove the mains adapters from the mains sockets or disconnect
from the power supply before cleaning
#
Use a soft, slightly moist cloth or brush to clean the surfaces
