ICE LEVEL CONTROL
Once during every injection cycle, the Ice control system (Emitter / Receiver) detects the ice level into the ice
container. When the ice container is full, the ice control system detects the ice and prevents the system to
overfi ll it. The ice maker start a new cycle of ice making when the ice volume rises down.
• The emitter is placed on the left side of the freezer compartment underneath the ice maker.
• The receiver is placed on the right side of the freezer compartment underneath the ice maker.
IDI ICE MAKER FUNCTIONING:
• Water is automatically measured into the Icemakers mould by a solenoid-operated water inlet valve.
• The Bimethal thermostat mounted between the support housing and the mould detects the water / ice
temperature.
• When the ice is cooled down to about - 9 C°, the thermostat switches the Icemaker motor and the Ice-
maker heater ON.
• The motor and the ejector blades begin to rotate. The ejector blades rotate about a quarter until they are
on the ice
• The ice is frozen hard in the mould so the motor will stall in the ice and apply pressure through the ejector
blades.
• During the stall period the heater is warming the mould to loosen the ice. This may take a few (up to fi ve)
minutes.
• When the ice is loosen, the ejector blades and the motor completes the rotation and remove the ice from
the mould.
• The water valve solenoid switches on again, to inject fresh water. The ice will be collected in an ice con-
tainer fi tted in the door.
