HFL Features/Functionality:
IndeeLift HFLs for professional healthcare are designed to meet the specifications and requirements
of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The raised-seat height was dictated by the need to
stand with minimal effort for the elderly and disabled. The ability to transfer directly to a wheelchair
is accomplished by setting the seat height at 21 inches which allows a height difference of 1-2 inches
for lift-free transfers to most wheelchairs.
Small Footprint and Easy Portability
The HFLs are portable lifts that are rolled around on wheels like a traditional dolly. Their small
footprint allows them to be positioned in many places other lifts simply cannot go. With a turning
radius of 30” (HFL-400-P) and 32” (HFL-550-P), the HFLs can go just about anywhere -- including all
ADA accessible bathrooms.
Mounting Ramp Seat
The HFLs patent-pending design includes a mounting ramp seat that eliminates the need to ever
"lift" a patient manually. With no complex cradles or harnesses to configure, the HFLs allow fall
recovery to be simple and quick. A person who has fallen can be up from the floor to a normal
seating position within one minute.
Wired Remote
The wired remote has a 10’ (3m) retractile cord allowing the care provider to operate the lift while
assisting the care recipient/patient onto the lift as necessary. The wired remote has graphics
indicating the up and down functionality. The wired remote is stored on the handle with the hanger
clip. NOTE: An audible alarm will occur when either control switch is depressed if the battery needs
to be charged.
Adjustable and/or Removable Rise-Assist Handles
The comfortable armrests have been engineered to operate as Rise-Assist Handles to provide
leverage for the seated party to assist in the process of standing once they are up from the floor.
The HFL-550-P includes width-adjustable Rise-Assist Handles to support almost all body sizes.
The armrest/handles adjust from 20 inches to 28 inches in width to accommodate large persons.
The Rise-Assist Handles are removable to allow a direct transfer to a wheelchair or other
destination. The HFL- 400-P also has removable Rise-Assist Handles which allow for direct
transfer to a wheelchair with no lifting or standing required.
Rechargeable Battery
The HFLs for professional healthcare come standard with a rechargeable battery pack and a built-in
charging system. The low-battery audible indicator alerts charging is required when either control
switch is pushed on the wired remote. The HFLs will operate at less-than-optimum performance
when in need of charging. Charging the HFL is accomplished by simply plugging it into a standard AC
power outlet. Charging is complete when the Charge Indicator goes out.
