7.0 REPLACEMENT OF YOUR OPTIMIZER
SMART MINI IPG
Your implanted OPTIMIZER Smart Mini IPG contains a rechargeable
battery and the need to replace it because the battery is unable to hold a
charge is
not
expected within the warranty period. However, there maybe
instances where the OPTIMIZER Smart Mini IPG or one of its implanted
leads may not function as intended. If such an instance occurs, your
doctor will explain the reason(s) to you and schedule you for replacement
surgery.
This procedure is typically more limited in scope and may not require you
to stay overnight in the hospital. In general, the post-surgical care
associated with replacement surgery is no different than what you
experienced during your initial surgery.
