GB-7
• Do not tilt the machine while the power
source is operating.
• If the machine is stopped for maintenance,
inspection, storage or changing accessories,
switch off the power source and disconnect
the machine from the mains and make sure
that all moving parts have stopped mov-
ing. Allow the machine to cool down before
inspections, adjustments, etc. Maintain the
machine with care and keep it clean.
• Always allow the machine to cool down be-
fore putting into storage.
• When performing maintenance on the
shredder, keep in mind that although the
power source is switched off by the safety
device’s locking function, the shredder can
still be moved.
• For safety reasons, replace parts that are
worn out or damaged. Only use original
spare parts and accessories.
• Never try to bypass the safety device’s lock-
ing function.
• Switch off the machine before you attach or
remove the collection bag.
Pull the plug out of the socket and make
sure that all moving parts have come to a
complete standstill:
• Before leaving the Vac-Blower unattended
for period;
• Before clearing any blockage;
• Before checking, cleaning or carrying out
any work.
• After contact with a foreign object. Take the
following steps before you restart and oper-
ate the machine:
-Inspect the machine for damage;
-Replace or repair damaged parts;
-Check for loose parts and tighten them.
• If a foreign body, or other debris, is ac-
cidentally feed into the Vac-Blower, stop it
immediately and do not use the Vac-Blower
until it has been checked and you are sure
that the entire Vac-Blower is in a safe operat-
ing condition.
• If the leaf blower/vacuum makes unusual
noises or starts to vibrate, STOP the device
immediately and pull the plug out of the
socket. Make sure that all moving parts have
come to a complete standstill and find the
cause. Replace or repair the damaged parts.
Check the device for loose parts and tighten
them before you restart and operate the ma-
chine. Excessive vibration can damage the
leaf blower/vacuum and injure the operator.
Intended use
The leaf vac is exclusively used in the two fol-
lowing ways:
1. As a leaf vac for vacuuming up dry leaves.
2. As a blower it is used to collect together dry
leaves or to remove them from inaccessible
places (e.g. under vehicles).
In suction mode it also works as a shredder,
where the volume of the leaves is reduced by
a ratio of approx. 10:1 and takes up less space
in the leaf collection bag and the collected ma-
terial is simultaneously prepared for possible
composting.
Each type of use other than those given in
these instructions for use can damage the
machine and cause serious risk to the user.
Please always observe the safety instructions
in order to safeguard your guarantee claim
and in the interests of product safety.
Residual dangers
Residual risks always remain even if the
hedge trimmer is used properly. The follow-
ing hazards may arise in connection with the
equipment’s construction and layout:
1. Lung damage if no suitable protective dust
mask is used.
2. Damage to hearing if no suitable ear pro-
tection is used.
3. Health damage caused by hand-arm vibra-
tions if the equipment is used over a pro-
longed period or is not properly guided and
maintained.
Unpacking
Due to modern mass production techniques, it is unlikely
that your power tool is faulty or that a part is missing. If
you find anything wrong, do not operate the tool until the
parts have been replaced or the fault has been rectified.
Failure to do so could result in serious personal injury.
Preparing of the blower vac prior to use

until it has been fully assembled.
