In this row, there are value indicators for quick control and monitoring switches (green round
buttons). Only if the monitoring switch is enabled (i.e. it is lighting lime-green), the appropriate
actual value is transferred from the device and monitored in the field to the left and on the
monitor page. The rectangular indicators to the right light red, if something is wrong (from left to
right): laser diode current, laser diode voltage, out of temperature range (upper or lower limit).

COM Port Number
sets the number of the virtual COM Port, that is given by the USB to serial
converter driver (see chapter Installing USB driver).
Baud Rate
sets the transfer speed and should be set to 57600 bps in current revision.
The window
Communication Status
shows the error messages if some communication error
occur. The
Error
indicator lights up in such case.
The
Clear Error
button clears the Communication Status window and the Error indicator turns
off.
If the device is turned off or USB cable was removed, the connection is lost. After the problem is
solved and the driver is connected properly, press the
Reconnect
button to reactivate
communication.
The switch
Manual Control
enables or disables keys and the knob at the front panel of the
device. This function is used to prohibit a change of values if the laser is operated remotely.

are
self-explanatory.
