2.5 Log book
While carrying out work of various kinds on and with the
safety valves, personnel must wear personal protective
equipment which is referred to in the individual sections in
these instructions.
Protective clothing
Protective clothes are heat-resistant and close-fit-
ting clothes with low tear strength, close-fitting
sleeves and without any parts sticking out.
Safety shoes
Safety shoes protect the feet from crushing,
falling parts and slipping on slippery surfaces.
Protective gloves
Protective gloves protect the hands and fore-
arms against contact heat if they touch hot
surfaces.
Safety goggles
Safety goggles protect the eyes from flying ob-
jects and splashing liquids.
Ear protection
Ear protection protects your hearing from dam-
age caused by exposure to noise.
To comply with legal requirements, a log book must be
kept of all activities involving the safety valves.
