5.3 Operation with DMX control
For operation via a light controller with DMX512 proto-
col (e. g. DMX-1440 or DMX-510USB from “img Stage
Line”), the unit is equipped with 4 control channels.
The functions of the channels and the DMX values can
be found in chapter 6.1. When a DMX control signal is
present at the jack DMX IN (7), the controller will rec-
ognize it; its display will show “
DMX Mode...
”
and the
DMX start address currently adjusted (
Addr: XXX
).
The start address is the address of the first DMX
channel; it will be defined for operating the unit with a
light controller. If e. g. address 17 on the light controller
is provided for selecting the operating mode, adjust the
start address 17 on the RGBL-100C.
The other functions of the unit will then automati-
cally be assigned to the following addresses (in this
example 18 – 20). As the next possible start address
for the following DMX-controlled unit, address 21 could
be used in this example.
To change the DMX start address:
1) Activate the menu item “
1. SystemSet
”
(select with
the button MENU and confirm with the button
ENTER).
2) Activate the submenu item “
1.2 DMX512 Addr
”

3) Adjust the start address with the buttons DOWN
and UP and confirm with the button ENTER.
4) Press the button MENU, select item “
1.3 Enter
DMX?
”
with the button UP and confirm with the but-
ton ENTER.
The display will now show “
DMX Mode...”
and the new
start address.
If a function was manually controlled via the menu
of the RGBL-100C in the DMX mode, activate the
menu item “
1.3 Enter DMX?
”
once again to return to
the DMX mode.
