PARENTAL CONTROL
Parental Control is available on the MS1 and allows you
to restrict the movies that can be played on any Output,
based on the age rating of the movie.
Imerge has a large collection of movie ratings from
around the world and has amalgamated them into a
single table (see next page) , which we use as the basis
for our Parental Control system.
All you need to do is decide which age to choose as the
limit, and set your chosen Output to that age. After
that, only movies with ratings equivalent to that age or
less will be available on that Output.
Our simple system enables effortless implementation of
global movie ratings.
sETTING UP PARENTAL CONTROL
Parental Control is configured on the unit that controls
the Output you’re restricting, whether server or client.

appeared at the bottom of the list of Output attributes.

movies available on this Output. Highlight

and press

Verify that your chosen age is displayed and press

save
.
From now on, only movies with a rating equivalent to
that age and below will be available for playback on this
Output.
Unrated Videos
Any material which does not have a rating is
automatically included in the highest category, age 25,
which is not viewable with Parental Control enabled.
As some documentaries and educational material are
unrated, this can exclude material that you think should
be available.
If you want to permit viewing of unrated material on
an Output subject to Parental Control, there are two
possibilities.
Either
1. Edit the video details (see page
37
)and change the
rating to a suitable value to permit viewing on that
Output.
or
2. Temporarily disable Parental Control
