-Before checking, cleaning or working on the
lawnmower;
-After striking a foreign object. Inspect the
lawnmower for damage and make repairs
before restarting and operating the lawn-
mower;
-If lawnmower starts to vibrate abnormally
(check immediately).
• Stop the engine and disconnect the spark plug
wire, make sure that all moving parts have
come to a complete stop and, where a key is
fitted remove the key:
-Whenever you leave the lawnmower;
-Before refueling.
• Reduce the throttle setting during engine shut
down and, if the engine is provided with a
shut-off valve, turn the fuel off at the conclu-
sion of mowing.
• Be aware that the machine’s exhaust area and
other parts of the lawnmower get very hot dur-
ing, and right after use.
• We recommends that you wear a safety hel-
met, ear protectors, safety goggles and safety
boots when using a lawnmower.
•
Do not work with this device under the influ
-
ence of drugs, alcohol and medical drugs.
• Only appropriately trained adults are permitted
to operate, adjust and service the device.
• A tingling feeling or numbness in the hands is
sign of excessive vibration. Limit the operat-
ing time, take sufficiently long work breaks,
distribute the work between several people or
wear anti-vibration gloves when using the tool
for extended periods.
• A certain degree of noise from this device is
unavoidable. Perform noise-intensive work at
times when this is permitted and at times in-
tended for this type of work. Where applicable,
observe quiet times and limit working time to
the absolute minimum. You and other persons
in the area where the trimmer is being used
should wear suitable hearing protection
.
• The machine should not be used in case of
poor weather conditions, especially in case of
lightning.
Maintenance and storage
• Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tight to be sure
the machine is in safe working condition.
• Never store the machine with petrol in the tank
inside a building where fumes can reach an
open flame or spark.
• Allow the engine to cool before storing in any
enclosure.
•
To reduce the fire hazard, keep the engine,
silencer, battery compartment and petrol stor-
age area free of grass, leaves, or excessive
grease.
• Check the grass catcher frequently for wear or
deterioration.
• Replace worn or damaged parts for safety.
• If the fuel tank has to be drained, this should
be done outdoors.
• Do not transport the mower in a vehicle if there
is any petrol in the tank.
• To inspect the underside of your mower, only
tilt the lawnmower to your right when standing
behind it (this is the side where the exhaust is
near the ground) otherwise oil may leak into
inappropriate areas of the engine. Never tilt
the lawnmower when the engine is running.
• All servicing and repair work under warranty
must be carried out by an authorised dealer.
Safety information for the charger
• Wear safety goggles and gloves when charg-

• Do not wear any items of clothing made of
synthetic materials so as to avoid spark forma-
tion caused by electrostatic discharge when
charging the battery.
• CAUTION!
Explosive gases – avoid flames
and sparks
• The charger contains components such as the
switch and fuse which may generate arcs and
sparks. It is essential to ensure that there is
good ventilation in the garage or room.
• The charger is suitable for maintenance-free
12V batteries only.
• Do not charge any “non-rechargeable batter-
ies” or defective batteries.
• Refer to the instructions supplied by the battery
