Caution!
Switch off the machine and pull out the mains plug before commencing fault finding.
The following table shows fault symptoms and describes how they can be rectified if your machine is not functioning
properly. If this does not help you localise and rectify the problem, contact your service workshop.
• If the chainsaw is not used for an extended period of
time, remove the chain oil from the tank.
• Lubricate the chain with oil.
• Slacken the saw chain after completing work because
it shortens when cooling. This prevents the chain
being damaged.
• Always replace the protective cover for transport or
storage of the chainsaw.
• Store the chainsaw in a safe and dry place and out of
the reach of children.
• When transporting the tool by car, it must be posi-
tioned so that it poses no danger, and secured.
Oiling the chain
The saw chain must be oiled before use and after clean-
ing. Only use the correct oil.
