Selecting the Mode
The NG-6 transmitter is available in Mode2 (throttle left) and Mode 1 (throttle right). A conversion
from Mode 1 to Mode 2 is not possible. Specify before purchasing! If you intend to use mixing fea-
tures on the transmitter, you are only able to use them in Mode 1 or Mode 2. If you do not need any
mixing features, you may switch from Mode 1 to Mode 3 and from Mode 2 to Mode 4, by reconnecting
the servos on the receiver channels outputs appropriately. When using the transmitter in conjunction
with the GigaTronic the Mode will be programmed into the GigaTronic during the “Binding” process
(see also the GigaTronic instructions)
Trimmers
The 4 trim levers allow the fine tuning of the stick center positions. Initially bring the trim levers into
center position and adjust them later during flight – if necessary. After the flight you should readjust
the correlating pushrods so that the trim levers can be back in center position for the following flights.
Notes regarding the use of the Transmitter
The “NG – 6” is a powerful precision R/C system. Inside there are no serviceable parts. Therefore
open the housing only if utmost necessary. Do not subject the transmitter to increased humidity (wa-
ter vapor), excessive heat (closed car in full sun shine) and do not drop the transmitter. The “NG – 6”
can be used with receivers recommended by IKARUS. Please observe the respective safety regula-
tions for the use of remote control radio systems to protect humans, animals and property. If in doubt
please consult your hobby shop personal or other model sport pilots and clubs.
Safety Notes
The CE sign is no excuse for careless handling of these components. Avoid the dangerous areas
around engines, propellers, gear systems and rotors. Always consider electrical systems as poten-
tially dangerous. Always remove the battery when working on the model. Avoid direct humidity and
humidity via condensation. The product is not reverse polarity protected! Reversing polarity or inter-
changing wires can lead to irreparable damages. Always use matching connectors. Unauthorized
alterations/repairs may lead to damages and will void any warranty. Never disconnect an electrical
power user from the battery while it is still operating.
Operation Notes
Before using the receiver make sure that the throttle stick is in idle position, i.e. throttle-stop-position.
Always switch on the transmitter first, then the receiver system in your model. After having finished a
flight proceed in reverse sequence, i.e. first switch off the receiver, then the transmitter.
Attention: If you do not follow this sequence engines may start unintentionally (danger of causing
injuries or damages!)
Make sure that other components feature the CE sign. Place the receiver as far away from the motor,
speed controller and battery. Keep connecting wires as short as possible. Motor and battery cables
should be twisted.
When you are not using your model, remove the batteries and store the model at a dry location with
normal humidity. If the system operates in an unusual way, disconnect the battery from the system
and reconnect it after a waiting period of 5-10 sec.
