Java Tool 

1.  Connect to the Master Matrix and activate the 

Online Configuration 

Mode

2.  Select the menu 

Definition > EXT Units

 in the task area and press 

the 

New

 button.  

A popup window opens.

3.  If the Tie Line should be directed from the Sub to the Master, select 

Master/Slave CON Unit

 in the 

Choose Extender Type

 selection 

box.  
If the Tie Line should be directed from the Sub to the Master, select 

Master/Slave CPU Unit

 in the 

Choose Extender Type

 selection box. 

4.  Enter an appropriate extender name into the 

Name

 field. 

5.  Enter a port number into the 

Port

 field according to the required 

connection of the Tie Line. 

6.  Confirm your settings by pressing the 

Apply

 button. 

7.  If you have created a Master/Slave CON Unit, select 

Definition > 

CON Devices

 in the task area of the master matrix and press the 

New

 button.  

A switchable CON Device will be created.
