iHM8 Quick start

1: cover 

For portable operation, open the 
battery compartments on each 
side of the unit.  Insert 2 “AA” 
batteries in each end as shown.

4: iPod placement

Place your iPod / MP3 player 
into the player dock. Connect 
the audio cord to the headphone 
jack on your iPod/ MP3 player. 
Turn the Support Thumbwheel 
to adjust the player support 
plate until your iPod/MP3 player 
fits firmly against the clear 
protective window.

To use with iPod nano, place the 
included nano insert into the 
player dock, then place your 
nano into the insert. Connect the 
audio cord to the nano 
headphone jack. Adjust the 
Support Thumbwheel.

3: AC power (optional)

Attach optional AC adaptor 
cable to jack on back of the 
iHM8 and plug the other end into 
a wall socket to play.

6: stand

Swing the stand feet out from 
the unit for upright listening, and 
swing them back into place for 
travel.

To play your iPod or MP3 

player, turn it on and

 press play 

once the device is safely in the 
unit.

5: nano

Make sure  the stand feet are 

folded in travel position before 

attaching or removing the cover. 

To remove cover

: grip cover 

near the Support Thumbwheel 

ring and pull away from unit.

To attach cover

: line up the 

mounting ring on the cover with 

the slots around the  Support 

Thumbwheel and press into 

place. Wrap cover around unit 

and press into place.
