5.4 Packaging, insulation
Packaging and insulation have to be disposed properly and in an eco-
friendly way according to local regulations.
5.5 Announcement and documentation of damages in transit
Discovered damages in transit have to be acknowledged on the delivery note.
The responsible shipper (in most cases the truck driver) has to acknowledge these
damages on the delivery note by his signature.
Damages in transit have to be instantly (i.e. on the day of ascertainment) reported to
the manufacturer.
5.6 Place and duration of storage, security precautions
The filter engine has to be stored in dry rooms only (refer to chapter 3.2.4
Surrounding conditions
, page 8).
When the filter engine is stored for a period extending 14 days, or embarked etc. it is
required to refer to the manufacturer. In this case the freight has to be stored and
covered fit for sea transport
