14 Maintenance, repair and disposal
• Maintain the photoelectric protective equipment in accordance with the
applicable national regulations in effect within the requested intervals. The tests
must be performed by qualified persons.
• It is recommended to regularly clean the protective tube of the transmitter and
the receiver.
• To avoid electrostatic charging on the protective tube do not use any woollen
cloths.
• During cleaning processes the photoelectric safety sensor has to be
disconnected.
• Observe the specified cleaning media and the maximum cleaning temperature
(80°). For more information see the Ecolab certificate.

Perform a function check after the cleaning process.
Scratches on the protective tubes of the photoelectric safety sensors can
deviate the light beams and impair the protective function.
• Only the manufacturer is allowed to repair the unit.
• After use dispose of the unit in an environmentally friendly way in accordance
with the applicable national regulations.
