3 Area to be kept free

4 Area without requirements

Installing the device:

u

Do not place any objects in area (3).

w

Objects in area (3) can cause measurement errors.

w

Objects in area (4) are not a problem.

u

Avoid transparent panes in the field of view and illumination range of the device (2).

w

Even a very clean glass plate reflects some of the light. This means that measurement errors
are possible.

u

Install the device on heat-conductive metal parts or fixtures.

u

Avoid installation in heavily polluted environments.

u

Consider the installation tolerances when selecting an installation location.

Measurement errors when using the device

u

Follow the instructions.

w

If the instructions are ignored, measurement errors are possible when using the device.

For cable lengths over 3 m between the device and the image processing system OVPxxx,
electrical insulation of the device is necessary.

u

Electrically isolate the device from the earth.

w

For example, anodising or a coated mounting fixture can be used for insulation.
