The onboard Intel

®

 ICH4 supports six USB ports on the backplane. USB connectors on 

the backplane are interfaced through the board-to-board connectors to the chipset USB 

controller. Six USB 1.1 or USB 2.0 devices can be connected simultaneously to the 

NANO-8522.
