USE
The Seven D WC is economical and ecologically friendly. It can be flushed in two ways. The standard flush uses approximately 4
litres and the economy flush roughly 2.5 litres of water. The 4-litre flush has been approved for use in private homes. In sanitary
facilities at public institutions, the standard flush must be adjusted to 6 litres.
The Seven D WC toilet has been adjusted at the factory to the 4 and 2.5 litre flushes.
MAINTENANCE
Removing the push button and the cistern cover
Fastening the push button and the cistern lid
Adjusting the amount of flush water
Close the water inlet valve. Remove the push button and cistern cover as shown in pictures 1-6.
Fasten the cistern cover and push button in reverse order.
NOTE! Do not tighten the blue bolt in picture 3 too much, only to keep the push button frame in place. If tightened too much the
valve might leak.
Before adjusting the flush water amount, remove the push button and cistern cover as shown in pictures 1-6.
SANITARY PORCELAIN MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
What is sanitary porcelain?
Maintenance instructions
Which substances should not be used on sanitary porcelain surfaces?
IDO has manufactured porcelain for more than a century. Production takes both the customer and the environment into
consideration. Sanitary porcelain is made of natural raw materials: clay, kaolin, feldspar and quartz. Products are fired at a
temperature of over 1,200 °C, resulting in compact porcelain covered with a glossy and hygienic surface.
The hard glossy surface is easy to keep clean. We recommend regular cleaning with a brush using ordinary detergents with a pH
value below 10.
Clean the toilet bowl surface immediately if it becomes stained using WC or everyday detergent.
Organic substances conducive to bacterial growth adhere to the visible and invisible surfaces of the water trap, so it is therefore
necessary to clean the water trap regularly using a bactericidal WC detergent following the manufacturer's instructions.
After flushing, a trickle of water usually runs down the rear surface of the toilet bowl for a while. Use an acid detergent (pH
value 13) to prevent the minerals in the water from adhering to the inner surface of the bowl. Call a qualified plumber if there is
a constant leak.
If the porcelain surface becomes heavily stained and cannot be cleaned with ordinary sanitary detergents, we recommend that
you try solutions containing acetic or citric acid.
When using these substances you should note that
Do not use detergents containing scouring powder, steel wool or rough cleaning pads containing ceramic grinding components.
We do not recommend agents containing lye (sodium hydroxide) or hypochlorides (chlorine-based detergents) with a pH value
over 10 (strongly alkaline detergents). Do not use strong acids such as hydrochloric or sulphuric acid or strongly alkaline lye-
based chemicals used for opening clogged drainpipes. These agents burden the environment considerably. Do not pour strong
chemicals such as solvents or other toxic substances or paints into the WC bowl because they damage the surface and harm the
environment.
Do not pour detergents or other chemicals into the water cistern because this may damage the plastic parts.
Empty and thoroughly dry the WC cistern in buildings left unheated during winter. Pour 34 dl of anti-freeze into the water trap,
then cover it with cooking oil or plastic foil to prevent evaporation.
the solution must be diluted with water; a slightly stronger solution can be used for the WC water trap (which has a water
capacity of 1.5 2.0 l depending on the model).
remember to protect your skin and especially your eyes
do not allow any solution to dry on the porcelain surface; brush the solution off immediately after spreading it over the surface
and then flush
protect plastic or other surfaces than porcelain from contact with the solution.
You can use toilet tank tablets in this WC. Place the tablet in the opening below the push button as shown in pictures 24-25.
The tablet is completely dissolved when there's no colour left in the flush water. Use only original tablets with
-logo and follow
the instructions on the package.
