6. Wait for the Tx Power to settle on a constant value and note the value.
NOTE
For a mesh remote, in clear sky conditions, if UCP adjusts the
power up to the maximum power set in the 1dB compression test,
and the signal strength is lower than the TDMA Clear Sky C/N,
there may be link budget problem. If the antenna is properly
pointed and undamaged, then a larger dish or higher power BUC
must be installed.
7. In iBuilder, right-click the remote in the network tree and select
Modify

the menu.
8. Select the
Information
tab.
9. In the
Transmit Properties
section of the dialog box, enter the following value for
Initial Power
:
• For star remotes, set
Initial Power
to 2 dB to 3 dB above the transmit
power determined using iMonitor.
• For mesh remotes, set
Initial Power
to the same setting as the transmit
power determined using iMonitor.
