3. INSTALLATION

1 POWER SUPPLY

Connect the power cable on this connector. The SP603 is compatible with all international power supply.
-> 220V/50Hz (Europ) or 110V/60Hz (USA).

2 Main audio output

Connect this stereo output, left and right, to your sound system. You can connect the SP603 to a Hi-Fi set
or to a powerful public address system.

3 USB link

Connect the player and your computer with the USB cable. You can use a PC or an Apple MAC. This link
allows you to transfer, rename, delete and move all your files from any file management software. The

player’s hard disk is recognized as an additional hard disk by the computer.

4 RS 232 serial link

This link has two functions:
1 – Updating your player’s software.
New features could be released in the future and, to obtain them, you’ll be able to download new
firmware versions from our site: www.id-al.com (see chapter 7).

2 –Remote controlling your player through this RS232 link
You can send commands to your MP903 from a computer, an external remote control or an automated
system.
