3.1 Installation and connection

Read these instructions before installing the char-

ging station carefully. Alfen ICU B.V. are not liable 

for any consequential damages that occur due to 

the use of this manual.

The installation must be performed by qualified 

personnel that have read this manual and opera-

te in accordance with the guidelines IEC 60364.  

Otherwise it may result in injury or dangerous si-

tuations when dealing with electricity.

NOTICE

Work may not be performed when it is raining or 

the air humidity is higher than 95%.

NOTICE

A charging station should always be installed on 

a dedicated circuit.

NOTICE

Danger to life through improper installation! 

Non-observance of the following installation and 

environmental requirements can lead to dange-

rous situations when dealing with electricity.

The electrical system must be dead (disconnec-

ted from the power supply) during all installation 

and maintenance work.

3.2 Requirements for assembly and 

 

installation

Always  carry  out  the  wiring  at  the  maximum 

charging current of the charging point with a 

continuous  load.  The  cable  thicknesses  in  this 

manual are indicative. The installer is always re-

sponsible for determining the correct cable thick-

ness on site and the application of the applicable 

standards. 

NOTICE

Make  sure  that  the  following  requirements  for  the 

installation of the ICU Eve Mini are fulfilled:
•  The cable route of the main distributor to the 

ICU Eve Mini must be protected against power 

surges and short-circuits by using a B characte-

ristic circuit breaker or a screw gG tag fuse

•  The cable route must be protected against acci-

dental touching by a type A or B 30 mA residual 

current

•  The cable route and charging point are a part 

of a TN-S system and the earthing is provided 

from the main distributor

•  The cable route must be laid in accordance with 

the applicable standards

•  The cable tray is made of copper cable with

90°C is at least the highest allowed conductive 

temperature
