Uninstallation

Removal of the Needles
SFM1x needles can be safely removed from the installation site. A mini-
crowbar or lever tool (part number SFM-LT) is required. Grasp the hubs of all
three needles and turn them clockwise (~30-40
) and anticlockwise alternately
[note: for left-handed, turn anti-clockwise first then clockwise]. This is to
loosen the needles from the sapwood tissue (depending on tight the needles
are bonded to the sapwood tissue, you might hear a cracking sound). Continue
turning the needles [clockwise and anti-clockwise] until the bottom probe
emerges from the install site. Use the lever tool with the needle in the slot and
gently pry the need out. Do the same for the remaining needle probes.
