4.3 Connecting the docking station  to your computer

To connect the docking station  to your notebook computer, do the following:

1. Connect the dc-in connector of the power adapter to the docking station.

2. Connect the power plug of the power cord to an electrical outlet. Press the power 

button to turn on the docking station .

3. Connect the USB B plug of the USB 3.0 cable to the USB 3.0 upstream 

connector on the docking station.

4. Connect the USB A plug of the USB 3.0 cable to an available USB connector on 

the notebook computer.

Notes:
• Connecting the docking station  to any connector other than a USB 3.0 connector or using 
any USB cable other than a USB 3.0 cable might impact on the docking station  
performance, especially the video playback and Ethernet performance. However, the 
supported maximum resolution will not be reduced.
