In general, if the host PC can ping the PDS-8x1 controller smoothly and continuously, all other

software and drivers for the PDS-8x1 controller will operate correctly. Therefore, users should

ensure that the development PC is able to ping the PDS-8x1 controller smoothly before any further

testing is carried out.

Note:

192.168.255.1

is the default IP of the PDS-8x1 controller. The IP address can be changed

using the instructions in step 8.

If the PDS-8x1 cannot be successfully pinged from the PC, refer to step 8 to change the

configuration of the PDS-8x1 controller. (The mask and gateway addresses of PDS-8x1

controller and the PC should make the network definition.)

The MAC address of the PDS-8x1 controller should be unique on the same network.

Refer to step 8 for details of how to change the MAC address of the PDS-8x1 controller.

Each PDS-8x1 MAC address is unique in the default shipping.
