Angle/Diversity Mixer Mode:
(
Pan
+
F7
)
Create dramatic polar-style surround panning for many tracks at once. This style of surround
control is best for creating deep immersive surround and automating smooth circular movements.
Turning an
Encoder Knob
changes the surround angle, and the
Faders
edit surround diversity.
Angle and Diversity work together to set the virtual position of a sound. Angle is the position of the
sound source relative to the listener in 360 degrees. Diversity is like the distance of the source
from the listener, where lower values are farther away.
X/Y Mixer Mode:
(
Pan
+
F8
)
Create dramatic grid-style surround for many tracks at once. This style of surround control is best
for placing sounds on a virtual stage, or for automating sound objects that will move on mostly
linear paths relative to the listener. Turning an
Encoder Knob
changes the surround X value, and
the
Faders
edit surround Y.
